Project Transformation Reading Registration



FUMC Plano supports the Project Transformation Summer Camp program by funding the salary for an intern, preparing and serving meals for interns and families, collecting books, and and providing reading volunteers.

Meet Our Intern


Nicholas Ward is the Site Coordinator for Project Transformation’s After-School Program at Casa Linda United Methodist Church. In his role as the Site Coordinator he is responsible for overseeing and supporting his fellow members, maintaining and upholding the mission and quality of programming, forming relationships with his participant’s teachers and families, supporting and meeting the holistic needs of the children, and connecting the community with Project Transformation and Casa Linda Church. The goals of the program include providing a safe fun environment, improving the reading progress of the children, developing social and emotional learners, and connecting and engaging families in need to the church.

Nick is a recent graduate from Wiley College with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems. He started working with Casa Linda UMC as a member in 2015 and has continued to work every summer since.. He says “Seeing the different children through the years that I served at precious sites and the progress they have made is the driving force of why I support Project Transformation and its mission.”
