FUMC Plano uses music to generate excitement, beauty and inspiration in services of worship. The choral and instrumental programs are intended to nurture those involved and to give a means of contributing in worship, outreach and praise as well as an opportunity for personal growth and enjoyment. The FUMC Plano Music Ministry welcomes anyone who would like to join in this most rewarding endeavor. Whether you are a professional musician or someone who wishes to join a musical group for the first time, FUMC Planohas a place for you. FUMC Plano offers a variety of ensembles and musical styles for any musical taste and experience level.
FUMC Plano enjoys a large group of talented musicians and singers. If you have a passion for playing in the orchestra, singing in a group or playing with the handbell choir, we have the opportunity for you. If you have questions regarding the Adult’s Music Ministry, contact Robin Anderson, Director of Worship Arts. Chancel Choir rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
The Crossfire Youth Choir is one of the great traditions at FUMC Plano. If your high-school or middle-school aged child would like to join the choir feel free to contact Robin Anderson, Director of Worship Arts. Rehearsals are on Sundays, 4-5:15 p.m.
We have choir activities for children aged 3 (as of September 1, 2017) through the 5th grade. We also have the opportunity for children to participate in our handbell program.
