Everyone is invited to join us on April 7 for MISSION TOGETHER! We'll worship together at one service at 10 a.m. then mission together in the Gathering Area and in our community! RESULTS FROM SPRING 2023

Trusted World: 12 people attended a presentation at Trusted World and sent 15 boxes of clothing for distribution.

Baking Cookies: 350 cookies were made and baked for distribution by SIX volunteers.

Flowers for Nursing Homes: 100 vases went to the San Remo Assisted Living Home. 27 volunteers assembled vases and SIX volunteers assisted in the delivery and distribution of the flowers.

Food & Hygiene Kits: 100 food kits and 100 hygiene kits were assembled by 20 volunteers for distribution at People Who Love People and Hope Restored Missions.

Sandwiches & Breakfast: 60 breakfast sandwiches assembled with 120 lunches including meat and cheese sandwiches with fruit and cheese by EIGHT volunteers. Food was distributed on Monday at Day Labor Center through THREE volunteers at People Who Love People.

Teacher Appreciation Bags: 75 bags assembled for teachers at Hickey Elementary by 20 volunteers.

Color Kairos Placemats: 50 placemats were colored by volunteers for prisoners to be used at the upcoming Kairos weekend. 

Cookie Delivery to local police & fire stations: 15 stations received cookies delivered by SEVEN volunteers.

Mission Service Group: FOUR volunteers provided installation of garage door opener at member’s home who is handicapped and unable to get in and out of their home easily, giving them the ability to drive themselves; FIVE volunteers started replacing the baseboard on fence at member’s home in need of repair.

Gardeners for God’s People: EIGHT volunteers trimmed trees and built one of two donated compost bins. SEVEN volunteers helped harvest 77 pounds of produce from the garden for God’s Pantry.

God’s Pantry: SEVEN volunteers delivered protein rich food and assembled 20 bags for homeless and 200 bags food insecure only community members.


Past Mission Together Events:

On Sunday, Aug. 25,It was a great weekend of connecting god and grace to self and community! 269 served on Saturday and Sunday with 45 working at Minnie’s Food Pantry on Saturday and 32 donating blood during the BloodCarter blood drive kick-off on Aug. 18!

It was a great day … and just the beginning of connecting god and grace to self and community!



30 people assembled 7680 meal bags for Send Hope /Kids Against Hunger and helped provide nourishing meals for the people along the Moskito Coast in Honduras. 


14 people volunteered at the Assistance Center to change out ceiling tiles, planting flowers and assemble hygiene kits for the homeless.


36 people in 15 teams delivered 50 cookie baskets to area businesses and first responders. A lot of folks keep our community going by working on Sunday, with many of the jobs being low paying. We let them know they are appreciated by dropping off a cookie tray and saying thanks! 


35 people, including 29 workers, volunteered at the Love Where You Live Home Projects (April 27 ) helping those who can’t afford home repairs or do yard work.


30 Youth Choir and chaperons visited 2 nursing homes, sang to the residents and brought cookies to the nurses. They brightened the day of nursing home residents with joyous song at Heritage Manor for lunch then Collinwood.


29 people, including 20 confirmands, painted a town-home for Agape House.   Agape House helps homeless women and children, many of whom have suffered domestic violence, achieve independence.  Their houses are located in the East Plano area.


21 people assembled Teacher Stress Relief bags that were distributed to area schools letting area teachers know they are appreciated with things like snacks, stress balls and inspirational messages. 


38 people volunteered to give blood giving the gift of life to 114 people.


18 people volunteered at the Second Chance SPCA, a shelter in downtown Plano with projects around the shelter and loving on animals!
