Loads of Love: Spreading Warmth and Clean Clothes

At First United Methodist Church Plano, we believe in the power of community and the simple acts of kindness that can make a big difference. One of our cherished missions, Loads of Love, embodies this spirit by providing essential laundry services to those in need at DFW Laundry in Plano, Texas.

Every month, FIVE dedicated volunteers gather at DFW Laundry, armed with quarters, laundry soap, and a heart full of compassion. We offer free laundry services to individuals and families who might otherwise struggle to afford this basic necessity. But we don't stop there! While the clothes are getting cleaned, we also provide a snack supper and, most importantly, a warm smile and friendly conversation.

Clean clothes are more than just a luxury; they are a necessity for maintaining dignity, health, and well-being. By helping with laundry, we aim to lighten the load for our neighbors, allowing them to focus on other important aspects of their lives. The snack supper and friendly interactions create a welcoming environment, fostering a sense of community and support.
