On Sunday I talked about how the new order offers a new sense of stability, comfort and hope, even though it is different from what we thought we knew in our old order. This is true in our individual lives, our family and cultural lives, and our church life.

This Sunday immediately following our 9 a.m. Blended Service, I hope you will join us to hear Mr. Kenneth Wolverton. Kenneth has managed and merged companies in his decades of business experience and he is a founding member of Grace Avenue UMC in Frisco. He is also the Lay Leader of our North Central District. I have worked with Kenneth on district committees and admired his analytical, faithful and positive regard for the church and her mission in society.

We had Kenneth as our keynote speaker at our church leadership training back in January. Those present are still talking about his presentation and asked if we could have him back for the entire congregation. I hope you will come. I promise he will enlighten, and the conversation there will leave you talking and hopefully in an enlightened and positive way as we continue "re-ordering" our church in a post-pandemic age.

When Jesus rode into Jerusalem, he had a vision for the future of Israel. It would bring new order to their lives with inclusive love and service. This vision was a very different than what they imagined and expected based on the old order of power and subjugation. Our times are not so different. On this Palm Sunday, come listen and learn what can be as we face forward toward a new mission field.
